It has been another busy week here at ASAP. I am so proud of the students here and their achievements. This week, for example, Xander Harris has been selected for the National para-swimming competition in Manchester. He has been a successful sportsman now for many years and we wish him all the best in this next competition. We are confident he will do well.
As we edge closer to half term, we are making preparations for our PSHE day on Monday. The whole school will be involved in exciting activities across a range of specialist topics, such as growth mindset, peer pressure, first aid and relationships to name but a few. The aim is that we want to prepare our students ready for the wider world, not just academically but also socially. Year 13 will be having a dedicated day on preparing for their next steps in life, once they leave ASAP. This will involve a range of CV workshops and university preparation. More to follow on this next week. Just a reminder that during the first week back after half term, on the 1st November, is Year 7 parents’ evening. Invitations will follow shortly for this to Year 7 parents to book appointments.
My very best wishes,
