It’s half term! I know students and staff are looking forward to a break after a long and busy half term. I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by and what has been achieved. This week, for example, we have had excellent work completed by catering students. Mrs King has share some photos of the food prepared by students which looks delicious, from pizza to healthy fruit and vegetable platters.
Year 8 have been busy in art. Students created natural art in a circle shape using leaves and twigs in the style of Andy Goldsworthy. The work was then left on the floor for it to be changed by the weather and people coming into contact with it much like the artist does himself.
Staff have also been busy completing training together. We have embraced a new style of training which is far more ‘hands on’ than traditional courses. This has involved our staff role playing situations that occur in school and how to deal with these. Some staff certainly enjoyed this and got into character more than others!
As we now finish for a break I’d like to wish everyone a restful half term and look forward to seeing everyone when we return on Monday 29th October.
