It is hard to believe the academic year has now finished and it is now the summer holidays. Much has happened this year to improve All Saints Academy and the educational provision here. As I am sure you will agree, this year has very much been about working together to make All Saints a great place to learn and much effort has gone into this. Our Ofsted ‘check ups’ and recent Church inspection reports have given us good feedback that we are working on the right areas and for the next steps as well. Our move into Houses has gone very smoothly and it was brilliant to see all of the students on Sports’ Day working in tutor teams and getting to know everyone a little better. The new support systems for students within the Houses is strong and is helping them throughout the day. Thank you to all those students who have attended school every day; please remember that we expect all students to be present and learning at school 100% of the time so that they can fully access their right to an education. What is most worth celebrating this year is the students at the school and how hard they have worked. The culture here is now one of learning and high expectations for effort and behaviour. I am unapologetically ambitious for all of the students here, in order to help them succeed.
We have had our rewards trips this week to Woodlands which was enjoyed by all. It was great to be there as well and see students take part in a well-earned reward. Today we have had the end of year BBQ for all students and staff, which was a great way to end the year. The new House Cup was won by Drake House this year and they will be defending their title next year.
Finally, I wish you a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer. I look forward to welcoming students at the door on their first day back in September.
