Being a parent or carer is one of the most rewarding and difficult jobs and at times may feel one of the loneliest. There aren't any instruction books that come with a child , yet we all want what's best for our children. We all can do with a little help every now and then.
I am here to support you as your child passes through the education system. Remember, YOU are the biggest influence in your child's life!
“Good communication, consistent messages and reliable support are not only good for your children, but help take some of the hard work out of being Mum, Dad and Carer.”
“One hundred years from now, it won't matter what car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much I had in my bank account , nor what my clothes looked like - but, the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.”
1-2-1-work with young people in Honicknowle
As part of our Youth Work in Honicknowle we run 1:1 sessions in All Saints Academy that offer additional support to young people who are, for various reasons, finding school life difficult. Referrals are made via the school support team who identify young people who exhibit behavioural and/or emotional problems. Young people have access to a Youth Worker offering a safe and understanding space for them to explore any issues affecting their engagement at school.
Join Routeways on Wednesday 2 November 2016 at 6pm for a quiet fireworks evening.
This event is for families of disabled children who are registered with Plymouth Inclusion Works and / or in receipt of a Plymouth Social Services Funded Care Package.
