Welcome to the new year

I am delighted to begin the new academic year as Headteacher of All Saints Academy, Plymouth.  This is a great place to work with excellent staff and students and I am very much looking forward to meeting everyone over the coming days and weeks.  There is much to celebrate already, with past students achieving fantastic exam results over the summer.  Well done to all of you and I wish you all the best for the future.

Turning now to the new year, we have much to do in ensuring that the academy is the best place to learn.  It is an exciting time to be part of this community, as I have found out already.  We are now formally part of the Ted Wragg Multi-Academy Trust who are working with us to improve all areas of the academy. We have welcomed this week many new students and colleagues and I am pleased to say that we begin the year fully staffed in all areas.  This means that students will have a consistent teaching and learning experience every day.  My vision for all students of All Saints Academy, is for them to succeed beyond potential.  I want all children to thrive here, academically, socially, morally and spiritually.  This is because I believe that is what young people need to learn to be successful in modern Britain, when they leave the academy.  My staff and I will be working hard on this each day to turn the vision into a reality.

I intend to update my blog every week with news of what is happening here at All Saints and will be taking the time to celebrate the many wonderful things that are happening here.  You can also follow the academy on Twitter and Facebook for the latest daily updates as well.

My very best wishes.
