D&T and Art SWTT Trainees Come to All Saints

It was great to welcome the next generation of design technology and art teachers to All Saints Academy today, where they took part in a masterclass in 'Curriculum delivery in a technology workshop'.

The eleven SWTT trainee teachers all constructed their own version of the iconic All Saints' year 7 project 'A truck-load of skills'.  Jo Leach, who is the Lead DT Mentor, commented:

SWTT DT and Art Trainees love coming to All Saints to learn from an extraordinary team of teachers who embody the rich values and pedagogies of the Ted Wragg Trust. The delight and atmosphere in the teaching space creates enthusiasm and focus that leads trainees to emulate this in their own practice. Huge thanks to the team. We are really looking forward to coming back in the new year.

Pete Keegan, who runs the technology department at All Saints, commented:

I loved working with this talented group of crafters who are all rapidly honing their skills in the classroom. The future of D&T skills is looking really bright!

Pete Keegan (Assistant Headteacher)

We look forward to welcoming them back for another session in January as part of our ongoing commitment as a training hub for design technology.
